Fire marshal & fire warden training
Also known as: fire marshall training, fire steward, NPORS N703 fire warden
Fire marshal and fire warden training: the Level 2 Award in Fire Safety or the NPORS N703 Fire Warden card.
About the course
Fire marshals and fire wardens are the same role: the people who help prevent fires, raise the alarm and get everyone out safely. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, employers must make sure staff are properly trained. We offer two routes. The Nuco Level 2 Award in Fire Safety is a 1-day national qualification for fire marshals and wardens in any workplace. The NPORS N703 Fire Warden course leads to an NPORS card, which suits construction sites and teams who already hold NPORS cards for their plant.
Course options
- Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (Nuco / First Aid Awards): a 1-day national qualification for fire marshals and wardens in any workplace

Reviews
What our trainees say
Recently, our fitting team attended Platform/Tower training organised by Pole Position Training. From the initial enquiry, the process was smooth and easy. The details of the course were sent through with plenty of notice and instructions for the day clear and concise. We will definitely be using them again for any training needs we have.
We were really impressed with the Health & Safety Awareness training delivered by Peter Pole at our offices. His approach was clear, engaging and informative and he kept the team fully involved throughout. The session was a valuable refresher and helped reinforce a strong safety first mindset across the workforce. Thanks again, Peter
A very informative and perfectly tutored course. Peter is the perfect tutor and will walk you through all steps of a course for you to pass.
Fire marshal & fire warden training: your questions answered
How much does a fire marshal course cost?
It depends on the number of delegates and whether we deliver at our Meopham centre or on your site. Group bookings are usually better value per person. Call 0330 122 4427 or send an enquiry for a clear quote with no hidden costs.
Where does the training take place?
On your site anywhere in Kent, London and across the UK, or at our training centre at Crab Tree Close, Meopham, Kent TN15 7JL.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. Everyone who successfully completes the course receives a certificate.
Is a fire marshal the same as a fire warden?
Yes. Fire marshal and fire warden are two names for the same role: the people trained to help prevent fires, raise the alarm and lead an evacuation.
Which option should we choose?
The Level 2 Award in Fire Safety is a 1-day national qualification that suits fire marshals and wardens in any workplace. Choose NPORS N703 Fire Warden if your site asks for it, or your team already holds NPORS cards for their plant and you want it on the same card.
Do all staff need fire training too?
Every employee should have basic fire safety training. Our 4-hour Level 1 fire safety awareness course covers that, and works well as part of an induction.
Can you train a whole team at once?
Yes. We regularly train groups and companies, at our Meopham centre or on your site. Group and multi-course discounts are available, so contact us for a quote.
How does payment work?
Scheduled courses booked online are paid by card when you book. For quoted group or on-site training there's no deposit: payment is due 7 days before the course, or on the day.
