FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER FOR TRAINING?
We mainly cover the South East and London, but we can arrange training anywhere in the UK. We work with a network of NPORS-accredited instructors and can bring training to your site or a suitable local venue.
WHAT IF MY SITE ISN’T SUITABLE FOR TRAINING?
If your site doesn’t have the right space or equipment, we can book you in at one of our partner venues nearby. We’ll make sure the location works for the course you’re doing.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO TRAINING?
You’ll need to wear suitable outdoor clothes and steel-toe boots. We’ll sort the rest, including a high-vis vest and hard hat.
CAN YOU OFFER TRAINING AT MY WORKPLACE?
Yes, we can. On-site training is a great option if you want the course tailored to your team, your machinery or your work environment.
WHAT TYPE OF CERTIFICATION DO YOU PROVIDE?
We offer two types: our own in-house certificate or a nationally recognised NPORS qualification. We’ll help you pick the right one based on your goals.
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
We usually ask for a deposit to secure your place, and the rest is due two weeks before the course starts. If you need more flexible payment options, just ask.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOUR INSTRUCTORS HAVE?
All of our trainers are fully qualified with years of hands-on experience. They’re NPORS-accredited and know how to deliver training in a practical, down-to-earth way.
HOW LONG IS EACH COURSE AND WHAT’S THE SCHEDULE LIKE?
Most of our courses run for one to three days, depending on what you’re learning. We’ll send full timings when you book.
IS THERE A TEST OR ASSESSMENT AT THE END?
Yes. Most courses include a short theory quiz and a practical assessment. It’s nothing to worry about – we’ll make sure you’re well prepared.
WILL I GET A CERTIFICATE OR CARD WHEN I PASS?
Yes. If you complete the course successfully, you’ll receive a certificate and, if it’s an NPORS course, you’ll get a card showing what categories you’re qualified in.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I FAIL THE COURSE?
If you don’t pass, don’t worry. We’ll help you go over anything you struggled with and arrange a retake. There might be a small fee depending on the course.
DO YOU OFFER REFRESHER COURSES OR RENEWALS?
Yes. We can help you stay up to date with refresher training or renew your certification when the time comes.
ARE YOUR COURSES RECOGNISED BY CSCS, CPCS OR IPAF?
NPORS is widely recognised across the UK. Some NPORS cards can also be CSCS affiliated, depending on the category.
CAN YOU TRAIN GROUPS OR COMPANIES?
Yes, we regularly work with businesses and groups. We can train your team on-site or at one of our partner venues. Discounts are often available for larger bookings.
WHAT’S YOUR CANCELLATION OR REFUND POLICY?
If you need to cancel or move your course, let us know as soon as you can. The amount refunded depends on how much notice we get, but we’ll always try to be fair.
CAN I PAY IN INSTALMENTS OR GET FINANCE?
In some cases, yes. If you need a bit of flexibility with payment, just get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
WHAT HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE?
We take health and safety seriously. All our training follows the latest guidance and we make sure the kit, environment and instruction meet the right standards.
DO YOU OFFER ANY ONLINE OR THEORY-ONLY COURSES?
Some courses have online theory options, but most include hands-on practical training. Get in touch and we’ll let you know what’s available for your course.
CAN YOU HELP ME FIND WORK AFTER I QUALIFY?
We’re not a recruitment agency, but we often get asked for trained operators. We’re happy to point you towards opportunities when we can.
DO YOU OFFER SUPPORT AFTER THE COURSE?
Yes. If you’ve got any questions or need advice after your training, just get in touch. We’re here to help even after the course is done.
WHAT TYPES OF MACHINERY CAN I TRAIN ON?
We cover a wide range, including forklifts, dumpers, excavators, telehandlers, rollers, MEWPs and more. Let us know what you need and we’ll get you booked in.
