Level 2 Door Supervisors Course

Course Outline

Under the Private Security Industry Authority Act 2001, all individuals wishing to work in the private security must undertake a recognised qualification before applying for a licence.
The HABC level 2 Award in Door Supervision has been developed to meet the requirements of the SIA, providing necessary skills and knowledge for learners who wish to apply for an SIA licence to work as a Door Supervisor within the private security industry.

Who should attend?

Anyone wishing to work in the private security industry. On completion of the course the individual will be able to apply to the SIA for their licence, accompanied by confirmed identity and criminal records check.

The course covers 4 mandatory units, by the end of the course, the learner will have knowledge of:-

  • Working in the Private Security Industry
  • Working as a Door Supervisor
  • Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry
  • Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry

Power point Presentation, Syndicate Exercises, Practical Exercises and Group Discussion. Learner’s knowledge is evidenced by verbal or written questioning. Certification given on completion.

Identification

Level 2 Door Supervisors Course Book, PowerPoint Presentation, Physical Intervention Skills demonstration and four multiple choice examination papers.

Please note – All delegates MUST bring with them their identification on the first day of training. Certificates will be issued by H.A.B.C for Pole Position Training on completion of the training, however all delegates are responsible for their own application to the SIA for their licence.
